Lieutenant Rebuilds The Warrior Motorcycle For Veterans Warrior Voices Charity

Martin took a beat up 1979 Ironhead Sportster and rebuilt it from the ground up. To reflect the people this bike would represent, Martin added such details as gas cap made out of an old grenade and a taillight out of a solid brass microphone.

Nikki Martin got the call from Micheal Lichter and (bing, bang, boom), she became a featured builder at the Old Iron/Young Blood exhibit at the Buffalo Chip Campground presented at the 77th edition of the Sturgis Rally. For the exhibit she built a 1999 Kraft Tech Softail Chopper that is 8-up, 34 degree rake and is named Lucky 13.

About the Sportster & the Hand Grenade – Life started out as a basket case for this little Sporty but with a lot of love and outstanding design, it has become an awarding winning sled. H-D 110th celebration and AMD affiliate custom show
As part of the Motor Company’s 110th activities, an AMD World Championship program custom show was held at the Harley-Davidson Museum Campus in Milwaukee during a weekend of celebrations.
Organized by Bob Kay’s Biker Pros team, the event included four AMD Invitational classes (Freestyle, Radical Bagger, Retro Mod, and Mod Harley) and saw one lucky winner, Shaun Ruddy, qualify to compete at AMD World Championship in Germany. The award winning Beezlebub motorcycle took a top 3 in tough competition. Continue reading
